Over a 30-year career with the UK British Transport Police, I have developed an in depth understanding of rail centric crime, with 20 years as a detective investigating serious and organized crime, specializing in fraud and financial investigation.

Since 2019, I have supported Train Operating Companies in enhancing fraud resilience; initially for Virgin Trains/Avanti West Coast and then as part of the wider First Rail group at First Customer Contact, sharing expertise across 6 train operating companies. As the chair of the UKs Rail Industry Fraud Forum and Counter Fraud Executive Committee I lead the industries approach to counter fraud, driving the fraud strategy across the industry.
